Yellow+Blue=Green
We went into a little cafe called Sprout in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina for an acai bowl. While we were ordering, the owner was showing us this wine in a box called Yellow+Blue=Green. He said that "the bouquet is fruity with a sauv blanc finish", and that it is stronger wine due its absorbability... or something. He also talked about the greenness of the transportation advantages of the box. Of course we had to try it. So we bought a box and threw it in the cooler. We each had a glass the following three nights and loved it every time!
We finished off the wine box at the Driver's house in Elizabeth City, North Carolina with Mark, Nici, Joe, and Jake. Nici introduced us to Islamic couscous and more importantly FRUIT PIZZA (which we hope she will post the recipe for us)!!! Thank you Drivers for such a great time! Hopefully we can stop back by before our trip is over! Everyone please take a look at the video of Joe Driver shaking it at the bottom of the blog!

Bodysurfing Wrightsville
Two days ago, we started our day off in Wilmington and Wrightsville, North Carolina. Both towns are similar to Charleston, but Wrightsville has surf. So, Wrightsville is now our new favorite east coast town. After having coffee at a nice little cafe in Wilmington called Java Dog, we drove the quick commute to Wrightsville where we played some beach volleyball and bodysurfed. The ocean water was much clearer and the temperature was cooler than the other beaches we have been to which made it super refreshing!
We decided to stay the night in Raleigh, NC, so we searched for hotels on hotwire.com and ended up booking what seemed to be a good deal at the Holiday Inn in Chapel Hill. When we walked in, we were very confused. The door handles were shaped like baseball bats. Athletic gear (i.e. mitts, helmets, etc.) filled both sides of the entryway. What appeared to be the lobby was completely decorated in a sports theme and was called "The Locker Room". We actually thought we might have been in the wrong building, so we walked out. After a quick discussion we decided we were in the right place and went back into the hotel. Upon checking in, we found out that this particular Holiday Inn is a sports-themed hotel year round. They had one of those wooden boards that you get behind and put your face in to take a photo as a football player and a cheerleader! What made it even funnier was that Todd was wearing a blue and white striped shirt and everyone in the hotel kept looking at him like he had dressed up in NC colors for the hotel. He immediately went to the car to change his shirt. After all of the hotel excitement, we decided to go into Chapel Hill for dinner and maybe some live music. We ended up in an Irish Pub ordering a bbq salmon salad which was actually quite good! Halfway into our visit to the pub, the karaoke started. OMG. By the end of the night, we were playing homo/nomohomo the same way we used to play ho/no/ho. There were lots of high-fives, fist-bumps and lingering bro-hugs, which led us to the conclusion that karaoke night in Chapel Hill is like opening night of MILK in the Castro. Who'da thought? We had a much more exciting and entertaining evening than either one of us could have hoped for.
