Walmarts and U-Turns

U-turns are a must anytime you go anywhere in the south.  This is partially because there are medians in the center of many roads making it impossible to turn left where you want to.  But more than that, signage seems to be unimportant, unintelligible, and/or, innacurate.  Often while driving down a highway minding our own business,  all of a sudden there will be a small or hidden sign for our exit over the offramp passing us by  resulting in multiple u-turns to get to the missed offramp.

We have been to a Walmart at least once every day.  (Not because we want to, they just seem to have all the stuff one needs for roadtripping, they are everywhere, and the 24-hour convenience is particularly important for people who just got off nightshifting.)

We swam in the Atlantic Ocean a few times and it is WARM!  It's not quite as clear as the water we are used to, but it feels great after being out in the 95 degree weather with no wind.

Todd is now calling me his "fragile flower".  Yesterday at Hilton Head Island beach, we were bumping the volleyball around in the extremely fine, hard-packed sand.  After about an hour or so, our feet started getting sore.  Todd's feet were a little raw, but when I check my feet, I had huge blisters from the super fine, sandpaper-like sand.  The blisters are better now, thanks to a lot of neosporin, but "fragile flower" is my new nickname.
