Montevideo's Revenge?

With our days in Montevideo numbered and in hopes of making it through our stockpile of Groupons, we decided to use one for dinner last night at the Vincent Café in Palermo. The Groupon allowed us each one cocktail and a choice of pizza or revuelto gramajo (which is described as an egg dish). The whole thing was just bad.

We ordered the “egg dish” which was actually super oily, soggy French fries topped with small bits of ham and scrambled egg. That description actually sounds much better than it was. And to call the drink that I had a margarita would be an insult. The only way we could make it potable was to mix it with Todd’s sugary Brazilian drink.
After our let-down of a meal, we headed up to Tres Cruces for a British comedy show called Brumour. The show was a collection of skits from movies like Monty Python performed by a group called The Montevideo Players Society. While hardly a Broadway show, it is absolutely worth checking out if in Montevideo. Tickets cost 180 pesos ($9 USD) each and they serve drinks and hamburgers cooked in their parilla (bbq).

Not long after we arrived at the comedy show, my stomach started acting funny. I sipped on some Sprite during the show to calm it, but we barely made it back to our apartment before I retasted our horrible meal. Since I woke up this morning, I have been making urgent visits to the bathroom every 20ish minutes and am certain that the horrible food poisoned me.
