CPT life

The area where we live is called Sea Point/Bantry Bay.  It's about 5 kilometers outside of the center of Cape Town and only takes about 15 minutes in a mini-bus. There are great restaurants, good supermarkets (with things like affordable FRESH BROCCOLI and our new discovery: ostrich meat). The weather is warm and dry (though a bit windy), people are generally friendly and speak "English", wine is good and cheap and we can drink the water out of the tap!

An added bonus is “there just happens to be” an INCREDIBLE outdoor 50 meter saltwater pool that is a 2½ minute walk away from our new and more permanent apartment and only costs 15 Rand (just over $2) entry for one day. Since the average temperature of the ocean is about 13 degrees Celsius, we have decided to enjoy the 23 degree Celsius pool instead and have bought passes for the month of March. Here is a photo of our amazing pool:
The gym that Base Models sets its models up with for a special deal (about $50/month) is a block away from the pool and is easily the best gym we’ve seen since we left the US. Life in Cape Town is good…
