We've discovered Thai buffet!

'We know that buffet restaurants are located all over the city, however since the one that we stumbled upon on Sukhumvit 77 was well off the beaten path (near On Nut Soi 25), we felt as though we were the first tourists to ever dine there. If we weren’t, we were at least the first haoles the local people attending that night had ever seen there. Once we picked a table and sat down (we recommend sitting at a table beneath a fan) we were brought an interesting looking grill-device, which had a trough filled with water. Given no further direction, we went to the buffet line and gave the contents a once over. I found a do-it-yourself papaya salad station to occupy my time, while Todd hunted and gathered fixings for the grill/soup cooker:
After successfully cooking and enjoying our very tasty soup, we had a plethora of fruit, cookies, and jello to choose from for dessert:
We were also very lucky that night because it happened to be karaoke! Todd was overjoyed especially since the singers seemed to favor old American “hit” songs.

After great food (some of the healthiest we’ve eaten since we’ve been here) and interesting entertainment, we only ended up 240THB ($7 USD) lighter!!!
