Turkish Bath

"Normally, honey... honey... normal is... normally" Turkish baths (hamams) have separate sections or times for men and women.  Lucky for us, we found one specifically for couples!
Upon entry, we were led upstairs to a small changing room and handed our bathing outfits.
We were then taken downstairs, given super uncomfortable authenic/ancient wooden clogs, and were shown to the first of the three rooms - the Hot Room.  In the center of the Hot Room, there was a large octagonal marble slab where we did our best to relax while dripping sweat for 40 minutes.

Then, two recently post-pubescent Turks summoned us into the second room - the Warm Room.  This was where all the action occurred:
1.  We were told to sit on a marble slab and were doused with bowlfuls of cool water.
2.  We were quickly scrubbed head-to-toe with an oven mitt style loofah.
3.  We then laid face down on a marble bed and were lathered and massaged with hot water and tons of soapy bubbles.
4.  We flipped over to our backs and repeated the lathering and massaging.
5.  Finally, we moved back to sit on the marble slab and were rinsed and had our hair washed.

Once the washing was finished, we were wrapped in towels and put into the final room - the Cool Room.
While the hamam was definitely a tourist spot and consequently more expensive than a regular hamam, it was the price we had to pay for the non-traditional couple treatment... and it was worth paying!
