Maoz Vegetarian Mania

One of the advantages to living near the Center of the Universe, aka Union Square, is the myriad food options.  So today, we set out on foot to do some errands and find a spot for lunch.  Having browsed the ever-present farmers market, we landed in a small Middle Eastern/Lebanese vegetarian restaurant called Maoz.  In true vegan fashion, we ordered one falafel pita and one eggplant pita which we topped with selections from a toppings bar, some of which included, pickled baby eggplant, carrots, broccoli, tabouli salad, and sundried tomatoes.  Our interpretation is that Maoz is definitely worth a visit and is relatively reasonably priced.  We will be back before leaving the city to try something else on the menu.  Here is Kristina indulging in a falafel pita with all the fixins.
