How to save $100 in a day in NYC (and still spend a ton)

One great thing about New York is that there is a coupon or discount offer for almost anything your heart desires.  Saturday night, we took full advantage of that knowledge.

Discount  #1- An offer emailed to Todd by LivingSocial (which sends you daily discount deals for NYC companies) to pay $15 and get $30 to spend on food and drink at Cucina Di Pesce in the East Village.  We ordered the stuffed mushrooms, toasted meat ravioli, monkfish, and a bottle of Sangria.  All was incredible!
Discount #2- Broadway show standing room tickets.  After a hasty cab ride from the restaurant up to midtown, we arrived at the Cort Theatre 30 minutes before Time Stands Still was set to begin.  We purchased "standing room" tickets for $26.50 and ended up sitting front and center on the balcony- some of the best seats in the house.

Discount #3- A Groupon given to us by Amanda for $20 off chocolate and wine at Cocoa V in the West Village.  We ordered a glass of Tortoise Creek Pinot Noir and opted to create our own chocolate plate with a pecan praline, a palet de menthe, a raspberry ganache, 70% spiced chocolate tile, and a creamy peanut butter.  My favorite was the raspberry ganache, and Todd loved the pecan praline!  THANKS AMANDA!
